Yoga Instructor Sarath Dissanayaka

Sarath Disanayaka has been practicing and studying the Hatha Yoga tradition since 2000, beginning his journey at the Nilambe Meditation Centre in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Over the years, he has further deepened his understanding of yoga and meditation under the guidance of various teachers and through continuous personal practice.

Since 2019, Sarath has been teaching yoga at several Ayurvedic retreats and wellness centers in Sri Lanka. He joined Peacock Ayurveda Garden in 2022, where he has been guiding our guests with dedication and care.

Guests appreciate Sarath’s calm and gentle approach, as well as his knowledge of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. As many of our guests come with different health conditions and physical limitations, he gives special attention to individual needs and ensures that each person practices safely and comfortably. When needed, he offers modifications and guidance according to each guest’s abilities.

The yoga sessions at Peacock Ayurveda Garden are simple, slow, and restorative, making them especially suitable for an Ayurvedic retreat. Gentle stretching, mindful breathing, and relaxation practices provide a peaceful start to the day and offer valuable support to the Panchakarma healing process.
